The beginning of what is now Pioneer Tank Lines, Inc. dates back to 1967 when Henry and Al Goebel started Blue Transit, Inc. as a contract carrier hauling cement, sand and gravel.
By the early 80’s, the need for these services had diminished and new directions were explored. Pioneer Transport was purchased and incorporated as Pioneer Tank Lines, Inc. This was the beginning of the tanker services which became the core of our business.
In the late 90’s Pioneer began obtaining permits for the transportation of Hazardous Waste. Since there were virtually no other trucking companies based in Minnesota providing a wide array of services to industrial waste generators, this soon became the focal point of the company.
The transportation of Hazardous Waste requires high level of responsibility on the part of the carrier. Therefore in order to facilitate growth and balance traffic lanes, the logical direction was to specialize in transportation of Hazardous Materials and begin offering services to Chemical Manufacturers and Distributors.
Today we operate a fleet consisting of dry vans, step decks, tankers, end dumps and roll offs.
Michael and Ryan Goebel (third and fourth generations) have now taken the reins and plan to continue the growth and success of the company, not by being the biggest, but by being the best. It is our goal to provide quality equipment, highly trained drivers and courteous service to all of our customers.
